A DISABLED man strangled his one-year-old son in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, after listening to a fortune teller’s advice that the boy would bring him bad luck, Makkal Osai reported.Vairamuthu (age not specified), who is paralysed in both legs, had a son, Inbatamilan, after six years of marriage.He consulted a fortune teller who said that Inbatamilan’s stars were not good and he could face problems because of him.Vairamuthu developed a hatred for his son and feared that what the fortune teller said would come true.On June 4, he strangled his son and disposed of the body inside a sewage tank. The couple lodged a report at a police station on their missing son and Inbatamilan’s body was recovered on June 7.Police later discovered that Inbatamilan’s ring had been mortgaged and detained Vairamuthu for questioning.
