KUALA LUMPUR: A mother-and-daughter’s spree of stealing credit cards and cash from the handbags of victims ended after the woman was arrested by police.Sources revealed the woman’s modus operandi was to approach her victims before striking up a conversation with victims as a distraction while her daughter quietly rummaged through the handbags and stole from them.It is learnt that the 39-year-old mother of two daughters aged two and 12, was involved in a bank theft in Cheras last December.Investigations revealed that the woman may have been involved in at least 50 similar cases.Meanwhile, the two children have been handed over to her husband, from whom she is separated from, to be taken care of.
